Why did we go with CPM S35VN steel? CPM S35VN is a high-end martensitic stainless powder steel made by Crucible; this steel consists of high Carbon, Chromium, and Vanadium and has been carefully designed and customized to provide a great balance between toughness, corrosion resistance, and hardness. It also provides improved and better toughness over its predecessor CPM S30V. Even with a Rockwell hardness of 60, you’ll find that S35VN isn’t a pain to sharpen versus other premium or high-end steels on the market.
When first introduced in 2009, it became clear that S35VN steel was a top-grade steel to rival the best in its class. Knives made with S35VN steel can be used for various purposes. Thanks to its high grade toughness and ability to become razor sharp, it is ideal for use in hunting and bushcraft knives, where toughness and wear-resistance are key. Knives using this steel will surely perform even under the often less-than-ideal conditions found outdoors. I've used this knife everyday and through the firework season cutting open boxes. I sharpen it once a week with the rod he sells on this site as well. The knife is very well made and has stood up to everything that has been thrown at it. I recommend buy his knives and the rod to help keep them sharpen.

Recently purchased this knife direct from the seller at the craft fair at the Bradley Square Mall It's not much if a mall but it's an Awesome knife! Very impressed by its perfect build and extremely sharp edge. I have used it a fair amount and haven't even had to touch up the edge at all! Think I am gonna half to pick up that other folder too. Did I see that they are sold locally at White Oak Armory? Love the way this knife sits deep in the pocket and the flipper action is perfect. Great knife for the price. It would be a great knife at twice the price!

Great edc knife for a very reasonable price point came extremely sharp and rides in the pocket great. Used it so far for just general cutting task and will definitely continue to be in the knife rotation.
