• The flat grind blade is made of reliable and durable 420HC steel. 420HC (420C) is a higher carbon content 420 stainless steel. The HC stands for "high carbon" and it can be brought to a higher hardness than regular 420 and should not be mistaken for it. Many well known, established, knife manufacturers utilize 420HC extensively. Precise cryogenic tempering increases the steel's crystalline structure, enhancing strength, flexibility and hardness (56-58 HRC), and the ability to hold a keen edge over time. This knife provides razor sharp cutting with a black G10 handle. The G10 handle provides an extremely secure and non-slip grip.

Just bought this knife over the weekend at White Oak Armory in Cleveland. As use goes, I can't say yet but just the feel of the knife and it's weight tells me I'm going to put it to work come deer season. Thanks for a great local product

I bought the TREX at the same time as the Tenasi. Ordering was easy and delivery was fast. Everything, from the packaging to the sheath to the knife itself are all first rate to me. The knife is solid and well fitted, the edge grind is razor sharp and flawless and the sheaths fit well and are solid and well made. There’s not a single thing to dislike and plenty to like - and I’m pretty picky. They cannot be beat for the money. Cryo-treated 420HC is not a super-steel but it’s a great basic easy-to-sharpen steel perfectly suited for 99% of cutting tasks.
